A click is a tiny action, but a satisfying click is a conversation. The player acts, the game answers, and that answer tells them their input mattered.
Visual motion, a small sound, a changing number, or a brief change in color can each reinforce the moment. Used together with restraint, they create rhythm without overwhelming the mechanic.
Good feedback also keeps the player oriented. It explains what happened and hints at what might be possible next, which is why even a simple interaction can support a surprising amount of curiosity.
